Heart of Bucks Community Fund awards Transforming Autism vital funding to expand services in Taplow, Iver and Burnham.
Local charity Transforming Autism has received a generous grant from the Heart of Bucks
Community Fund, enabling the organisation to expand its work with autistic children and their
families across the Buckinghamshire area, with a special focus on Taplow, Iver and Burnham.
Since 2021, Transforming Autism has been providing life-changing early support to families in
Buckinghamshire. This new grant will allow the charity to reach even more families, helping
children thrive through relationship-based support that empowers both parents and children.
One of Transforming Autism’s newest trustees, Pip, who lives in Buckinghamshire, shared her
personal perspective on why this work matters so deeply:
“As a grandparent to my five-year-old granddaughter, Alaia, who is nonverbal and autistic,
I’ve seen firsthand how challenging it can be for families. The right support can make a
world of difference, and that’s exactly what Transforming Autism provides. I’m thrilled that
this funding will help bring that same transformation and understanding to even more
families in our community.”

mission to strengthen local communities:

Transforming Autism’s approach focuses on building trust-based relationships that support young
autistic children at a critical stage of development, equipping parents with tools, understanding and
confidence to help their children flourish.
The charity was founded in 2017 and has since grown into a trusted source of early intervention and
empowerment for families navigating the challenges and joys of autism. With this grant,
Transforming Autism aims to further its mission of ensuring every child has the opportunity to
thrive in an environment of connection, understanding and acceptance.
