Rachel Burnett
Therapist
I am a Specialist Paediatric Occupational Therapist with experience across the NHS, children’s mental health services, special needs schools, Transforming Autism, and I run my own independent practice. I support children with neurological conditions and a wide range of developmental, sensory, physical, and learning needs.
Working across Essex in homes, nurseries, mainstream schools, and specialist provisions, Rae collaborates closely with families, teaching staff, and external agencies to build confidence, connection, and shared understanding.
Trained in DIR/Floortime, Sensory Integration, Rhythmic Movement, SCERTS and Therapeutic Listening, I use these approaches to support regulation, connection, and meaningful participation.
Passionate about early intervention, I use play‑based, child‑centred approaches and a holistic, neurodiversity‑affirming lens — always considering the whole child, their relationships, environment, and routines to create support that genuinely fits their world.
