We are excited to announce the launch of our “Early Years Parent Community”, this is a dedicated space for parents of young autistic children to connect, share, and access practical guidance and support. This initiative has been made possible thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund.
The Parent Community is exclusively open to parents who have taken part in one of our programmes, offering them a safe, welcoming environment to share experiences, learn from others, and feel supported in the unique journey of raising an autistic child. Its aim is to empower families, provide access to expert advice and resources, and build a vibrant community that celebrates both differences and common experiences.
A parent from our Confident Autism Parenting Course said:
“After completing the course, I found myself longing for a space where the journey could continue – a place to connect with others who truly understand the unique challenges and joys of raising a young autistic child. The Parent Portal has become that space.
It’s safe, welcoming, and always there when I need practical advice, reassurance, or simply a reminder that I’m not alone. The community is warm, respectful, and deeply empathetic. I’m so grateful this portal exists, and I know it will continue to be a vital part of my parenting journey for many years to come.”
Members of the community can:
• Access practical resources and strategies from experts and fellow parents
• Participate in forums, discussions, and direct messaging with other parents
• Attend regular virtual events featuring professionals in autism support
• Share their stories, challenges, and successes to guide and inspire others
